We can’t wait for the return of Josie Balka and her highly anticipated second collection, Loves of Our Lives: Poems for Hopeful Hearts. From social media sensation and author of the instant New York Times bestseller, I Hope You Remember—which John Stamos called a “gift to the world”—Josie Balka is back with an evocative collection of over eighty poems about the different types of love.

Josie shares herself genuinely and generously with her hundreds of thousands of followers, and she’s ready to blow her hometown away one more time after our sold-out show this past June.

Slow Burn Books will have a pop-up shop on-site with copies of Loves of Our Lives (one day before pub date!), as well as Balka’s debut, I Hope You Remember: Poems on Loving, Longing and Living. You can pre-order books by Josie Balka for pickup at the show here.

This exclusive event features a conversation hosted by Virgin Radio morning host and Josie’s bestie Danaye Maier, audience Q&A, book signing, selfies with Josie, celebratory librations available for purchase, and other exclusive pre-show offerings! Oh, and did we mention there will be a new limited edition custom tote bag available for preorder alongside your ticket purchase? (Available while supplies last).

We’d like to thank Simon & Schuster for making it possible to once again connect you with Josie Balka.

Featuring eighty poems, some already beloved by her followers and others exclusive to this collection, Loves of Our Lives explores six types of love—familial, toxic, romantic, friendship, self-love, and lost love—and invites reflection, offering solace and celebration in equal measure in this love letter to love itself.
