Jared Bland is a writer, editor, and musician who lives in Toronto and Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. He is the former publisher of McClelland & Stewart and served as the Arts editor of The Globe and Mail. His first novel, The Harmony, will be published in August 2027. As Alex Spring, he is the author of the Danny Clarke series, the first of which, Lower City, was published this year.
