Neil Smith is a fiction writer from Montreal. His recent novel Jones is being published in English, French, German, and Spanish. His previous novel, Boo, won the Hugh MacLennan Prize, and his book of stories, Bang Crunch, won the Quebec Writers’ Federation’s First Book Prize. He is now working on a new novel, Red Rover Red Rover, inspired by the fiction of Shirley Jackson. He also translates Québécois novels into English and has been nominated for the Governor General’s Award for Translation.
