Susan Ouriou is an award-winning author and literary translator who has had the privilege and the pleasure of translating many of Quebec’s finest authors, including Michel Jean (her translation of Jean’s Kukum was short-listed for the 2023 Governor General’s Award for Literary Translation) and Catherine Leroux (Leroux’s The Future (in Ouriou’s translation) won Canada Reads in 2024). She is thrilled to explore with them their most recent novels—Leroux’s Republic of Glass and Jean’s Ninan, Tiohtiá:ke, Montreal.
