The Kris Demeanor & Deborah Willis Variety Show is back for a second year! We’ve once again tapped our favourite Calgary power couple to host: we know the singer-songwriter-poet and much-lauded writer never fail to delight. This year, they’ll showcase Antonio Michael Downing (Black Cherokee), Ben Ladouceur (I Remember Lights), Neil Smith (the multi-talented translator You Crushed It and author of Boo and Jones), and Madeleine Thien (The Book of Records). This is a multi-textured spectacle you won’t want to miss.
This event is organized in collaboration with the Canada Council for the Arts to celebrate the finalists and winners of the Governor General’s Literary Awards.
